Police: Teen Charged With Marijuana Possession After Incident at McDonald's in Aberdeen

The Aberdeen Township Police Department responded to or initiated 636 calls for service between March 20 and April 2, 2013.

The Aberdeen Township Police Department responded to or initiated 636 calls for service between March 20 and April 2, 2013, including 14 suspicious persons/vehicles; 21 alarms; 27 first aid calls; 26 motor vehicle crashes; seven thefts; three domestic violence incidents, six disorderly persons, two assaults, three burglaries, and 276 motor vehicle stops, according to Police Chief John Powers. Officers also issued 239 motor vehicle summonses.

The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests March 20, 2013 through April 2, 2013:

  • Jalil H. Syed, 52, Union Beach, was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, and reckless driving following a motor vehicle stop on Highway 35 on March 20.  P.O. Raymond Campbell was the arresting officer.
  • P.O. Darryl Richardson arrested a 34-year-old Matawan man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on March 21.
  • Two Aberdeen women were charged with obstructing the administration of law following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Ave. on March 21. P.O. Gus Grivas was the arresting officer. He was assisted by Special Officer Ronald Osadacz.
  • P.O. Frank Maisano charged two 19-year-old township men with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle following an incident at the McDonald’s restaurant on Hwy 35 on March 22. One of the men was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The other was also wanted on a contempt of court warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.
  • P.O. John Young arrested a 33-year-old Marlboro man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on March 24.
  • P.O. Anthony Marone arrested a 21-year-old Bayville man on a contempt warrant out of Tinton Falls municipal court following an incident on Imbrook Ln. on March 25.
  • On March 26 Det. Manuel Carabel arrested a 50-year-old Colts Neck man for bad checks and theft of services.
  • Special Officer Ronald Osadacz arrested a 21-year-old Old Bridge man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on March 27.
  • P.O. Anthony Marone arrested a 26-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Union Twp. municipal court on March 27.
  • On March 28 Det. Louis Nanna arrested a 36-year-old township man for shoplifting at the A & P store, Hwy. 35, on March 27.  P.O. Michael Lasko conducted the initial investigation.
  • P.O. Frank Maisano arrested a 35-year-old Pennsylvania man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on March 28.
  • P.O. Raymond Campbell arrested a 20-year-old Union Beach man on a contempt warrant out of East Brunswick municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on March 28.
  • P.O. Raymond Campbell arrested a 23-year-old Keansburg man on a contempt warrant out of Newark municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on March 29.
  • Jeffrey C. Conte, 49, Marlboro, was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, and reckless driving following an incident on Riverdale Dr. on March 30. P.O. John Zeller was the arresting officer.
  • Special Officer Michael Scarpa arrested a 27-year-old Old Bridge man on contempt warrants out of Aberdeen and Manalapan municipal courts following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Ave. on March 30.
  • P.O. Anthony Marone arrested a 29-year-old North Concourse man on a contempt warrant out of Hazlet municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Ave. on April 2.
  • P.O. Anthony Marone arrested a 47-year-old township woman on a contempt warrant out of Linden municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Ave. on April 2.
