The cyclist, identified as 68-year-old Sannuel North, suffered a minor leg injury and was transported by a MONOC ambulance to the hospital for treatment, Powers said.

The driver of the Mercedes, identified as Merlyn Edwin-Ezepue, 52, of Amboy Avenue in Aberdeen, had a green left turn arrow at the time of the accident, Powers explained.

That intersection is very dangerous, I travel past it several times a day and have witnessed many pedestrians laying on the ground after being hit over the years.

Any intersection is dangerous. People need to pay more attention when driving. I've seen people texting, talking on the phone, doing theiir make up, hell I watched a man shave doing 75mph on the parkway last week. There are too many distractions these days. .
