It was a busy week for Monmouth County law enforcement. There was dog-napping, murder charges, murder sentences, stabbing and the suspension of a dentist’s license following his arrest.

Keansburg Man Indicted on Murder Charge for Alleged Baseball Bat Attack in Cemetery

A Keansburg man is charged with murder and other offenses contained in a five-count indictment handed up Monday by a Monmouth County grand jury, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Police: Freehold Man Causes $3K Worth of Damage to Car

A Freehold man reportedly caused nearly $3,000 worth of damage to a car parked within Manalapan Township last week. Manalapan police arrested Eric Keys, 23, of Freehold, and charged him with criminal mischief for purposely damaging another person’s motor vehicle on Friday, April 26.

Manalapan Teen Stabbed with Knife and Robbed of Cell Phone

A Manalapan High School student was stabbed with a knife and robbed of his cell while sitting within a car with the windows down on Heron Court last week, police said.

Hazlet Woman Indicted on Failure to Register as a Sex Offender Charge

 A Hazlet woman was indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury on a single count of fourth degree failure to register as a sex offender after she allegedly failed to reverify her address with local police in 2012.

Neptune Man Sentenced to 50-Year Prison Term for Eatontown Murder

A Neptune man convicted in December for his role in the 2008 murder of an Eatontown man received a 50-year jail sentence on Friday, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office announced in a press release.

Long Branch Woman Charged With Sexually Assaulting Oceanport Child

A Long Branch woman has been charged with sexually assaulting an Oceanport child.

Rachel Morrison, 26, of Warburton Place, allegedly sexually assaulted the minor, whose name, age and relationship to Morrison are not being released, on April 29.

Burglaries Off Belmar Boulevard Continue: Two Incidents Thursday

Township police are investigating two attempted residential burglaries reported in the Ruta Development off of Belmar Boulevard.

Wall Man Among Pair Admitting to Bribing Doctors

A Wall man and a Nutley man, former sales representatives of Biodiagnostic Laboratory Services LLC (BLS) admitted today to conspiring with others to bribe doctors to refer patient blood samples to BLS, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.
