Matawan Woman Charged With Theft From Wall Home

Police say she stole jewelry from the home of her employer

A Matawan woman faces theft charges after authorities said she stole jewlelry from the bedroom of a Wall Township home where she was employed, according to arrest warrants.

Kristen Russo, 53, was arrested and charged with the May 1 theft of jewelry from a New Bedford Road home where she worked as a health care aid, the arrest warrant says.

Russo was arrested on Aug. 17 and taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $7,500 bail, according to the warrant.

Russo also was charged with on a Monmouth County Superior Court warrant for theft and a Monmouth County Family County warrant. Bail on the subsequent warrants was $10,000 and $1,703, respectively, bringing her total bail amount to $19,203, according to jail records.
