The Matawan Police Department responded to or initiated 296 calls for service between July 1 and July 24, 2012, according to Sgt. Thomas Falco.
These calls include, but were not limited to: one robbery, five burglaries, seven thefts, four assaults, three disorderly persons, 40 alarm calls, 27 first aid calls, 14 motor vehicle crashes, eight fire calls, eight suspicious person calls, five suspicious vehicle calls, four domestic disputs and 26 assists to the public.
During this time, officers made 30 arrests including one DWI arrest, five narcotic arrests, 12 warrant arrests, ten arrests for serious motor vehicle offenses and two for other criminal offenses.
