Matawan Men Injured After Car Crashes Into Keyport Store

The vehicle struck the Country Farms Food Store on Saturday morning.

A car crashed into the Country Farms Food Store Keyport Saturday morning, injuring the two Matawan men inside the vehicle, police said.

Keyport police, fire and first aid responded to the scene after the crash into the Broad Street building at 11:38 a.m., according to a press release issued by the Keyport Police Department.

The driver, 33-year-old Tony Austin, sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was transported to Bayshore Community Hospital. His passenger, Aaron Coleman, was also brought to the hospital and treated for minor injuries and released.

Keyport police are investigating the incident and ask anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact Patrolman Gregory Johnson at 732-264-0706.
