Matawan Man Indicted on Heroin Charge Out of Manalapan

Manalapan police found Vincent Abate to be in possession of 15 wax folds of heroin in June.

Matawan resident Vincent Abate, 28, was indicted by the Monmouth County Grand Jury last week on a drug possession charge out of Manalapan Township. 

Abate was arrested by Manalapan police on June 9 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Police said they found Abate to be in possession of 15 wax folds of heroin. Abate was indicted on this charge last week. 

An indictment is a formal charge and not a conviction. A defendant is considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
