Detectives from Aberdeen and Matawan are conducting a joint investigation due to the similarities between the two burglaries and their close proximities to one another, according to police.

Residents are encouraged to lock all doors and windows at night. A light should also be left on to discourage any potential intruders, police say. In addition, residents are reminded to always be alert of their surroundings, and to park their vehicles in well it areas whenever possible.
