Police say he also fled the scene, but was found shortly after

A Marlboro man was charged by Aberdeen Township Police with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident after a collision with a another vehicle on Oct. 31 at about 11:52 a.m.

According to Chief of Police John Powers, Sgt. Raymond Sosa observed a 2002 Chrysler crash into the rear of a 2010 Ford driven by a Hazlet resident on Highway 35 northbound near Cliffwood Avenue.

The driver of the Chrysler, which police later identified as Brian Dorsey, 43, fled the scene, but a witness followed it. Sgt. Theodore Sigismondi located the vehicle on Sweetbriar Street with Dorsey still inside.

Dorsey was taken into custody and subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, unlicensed driver, driving while suspended, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to report an accident. He was released pending a court appearance. There were no reported injuries and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
