Man Robbed in Car at Wendy’s on Route 35 in Aberdeen

A look at recent police activity in Aberdeen Township.

The Aberdeen Township Police Department responded to or initiated 397 calls for service between Aug. 14 and Aug. 20, 2013, including 20 suspicious persons or vehicles, 16 alarms, 27 first aid calls, 12 motor vehicle crashes, 2 thefts, 2 domestic violence incidents, 6 disorderly persons, 10 noise complaints, 1 robbery, 1 burglary, and 173 motor vehicle stops, according to Aberdeen Lt. Joseph Cole. Officers also issued 144 motor vehicle summonses.

Harassment

  • On August 14 employees at Shop Rite on Lloyd Rd. reported several incidents of harassment. P.O. Gus Grivas investigated. 

Theft, Burglary & Robbery

  • On August 14 a resident of W. Prospect Ave reported someone entered her home and stole $350.00.  P.O. Frank Maisano investigated.
  • On August 15, P.O. Roger Peter responded to a report of two subjects entering an abandoned residence.
  • On August 16 a resident of Deerfield Lane reported the theft of their garbage can full of garbage. P.O. Mary Johnston took the report.
  • On August 19 P.O. Grivas responded to A&P, Highway 35, for a report of two subjects who had shoplifted over $350.00 in baby formula. Detective Lou Nanna is conducting the follow-up investigation.
  • On August 18 a customer at Wendy’s on Route 35 reported that two black males in their twenties entered his vehicle while he was inside of it, stuck something in his back that he believed was a gun, and demanded his money. The subjects fled in a white SUV with black wheels driven by a heavy set white female with cash and other items. P.O. Roger Peter and Detective Lou Nanna are investigating.

Fraud

  • On August 20 a resident of Arbordale Drive reported over $600.00 in fraudulent charges to her credit and debit cards. P.O. Gus Grivas took the report.

Vandalism

  • On August 14 a two residents of Intone Lane reported someone placing nails in their driveways. P.O. John Zeller investigated.
  • On August 15 a resident of Beaver Place reported someone drove over his lawn, damaging it. 

Bias

  • On August 20 P.O. Richardson took a bias incident report relating to a person’s ethnicity following a “road rage” incident that took place on South Atlantic Avenue.
