Man Indicted for Eluding, Possession

Grand Jury handed up the indictment Thursday

A Monmouth County Grand Jury voted yesterday to indict a Freehold man on one count of eluding, a second degree crime, and one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third degree crime.

Police say that Robert Scibek, 50, allegedly knowing fled or attempted to elude a law enforcement officer in Aberdeen Township on June 6 by not stopping his vehicle when signaled by an officer. When he was stopped, according to police, he was allegedly in possession of oxycodone.

The Grand Jury's vote does not determine guilt or innocence, only that charges may be brought against the people named in the indictment.
