Man Arrested for Robbery of Four Strathmore-Area Businesses

A Staten Island man was arrested for the July 10 robberies of four Route 34 businesses

Police arrested William H. Rusch, 41, of Staten Island, NY in Aberdeen on July 21 in connection to burglaries of four township businesses on July 10.

Det. Henry Chevalier charged Rusch with three counts of burglary, four counts of criminal mischief, two counts of theft and one count of receiving stolen property related to the .

Rusch was apprehended at approximately 11:00 p.m. by detectives from the Woodbridge, Old Bridge and Matawan police departments when he was found in Aberdeen in possession of a cash register taken from a Marlboro business.

Bail was set at $70,000 by Aberdeen Municipal Court Judge Scott Basen with no 10% option. Rusch was committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail.

Additional charges are pending in the other jurisdictions. His 2006 Nissan Altima was seized pending forfeiture.
