Lloyd Road Accident Involves Four Cars, Minor Injuries Reported

A Thursday morning accident involved four cars near the intersection of Lloyd and Campbell Ct.

An accident at about 6:54 a.m. Thursday morning on Lloyd Road near the intersection of Campbell Ct. involved four cars and resulted in minor injuries.

According to Aberdeen Chief of Police John Powers, Melissa Bionte, 20, of Middletown, was driving a Mercedes Benz on Lloyd Road when she crossed over the double yellow line and collided with a Nissan Quest. She then side swiped a Honda Accord and then struck a Ford Focus head on.

The driver of the Honda Accord was transported to Bayshore Hospital by South Aberdeen EMS for minor chest injuries. All other injuries reported were also minor.

It is not known what caused Bionte to cross over the double yellow line. She was issued a summons for careless driving and the driver of the Nissan Quest was issued a summons for driving without a license.

Officer Matthew Lloyd was the investigated the accident.
