Laurence Harbor Man Arrested After Foot Pursuit Through Cliffwood Beach

Police say he ran after being told he was under arrest.

A Laurence Harbor man is facing several charges after he allegedly ran from an Aberdeen Township police officer in Cliffwood Beach.

Police say Jahrid Grenfell, 23, was in a vehicle on Seawood Drive at about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12 when Ptl. Michael Lasko stopped him and asked for identification.

It was then revealed that there was a warrant from the Monmouth County Superior Court for Grenfell's arrest. Police say that when Lasko told Grenfell he was under arrest, he ran.
