Keyport Man Facing Shoplifting Charges at Sears, Wegman's & Home Depot

A Monmouth County grand jury handed up the indictment on April 23.

A Keyport man was indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury last week on charges he shoplifted from three separate departments stores.

Investigators say Robert Doren, 57, took merchandise valued at over $500 from Sears of Middletown between Oct. 20, 2012 and Jan. 5, 2013. In February, he allegedly stole over $200 in merchandise from Wegman's of Manalapan. Just under a month later, Doren allegedly left Home Depot of Howell with over $200 in merchandise from the store.

He is facing two counts of third degree shoplifting and one count of fourth degree shoplifting.

An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury voted there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial.
