A Keyport man was charged Tuesday with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a minor, according to Chief George Casaletto.
Police say that Pedro Rivera, 32, of Keyport sexually assaulted a 9-year-old girl in early July while she was under his care.
Rivera was arrested by Keyport detectives Shannon Hyman and Joe Rendina, as the result of an investigation conducted alongside Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Det. Michael Camponella.
He was committed to the Monmouth County Jail in lieu if $350,000 bail.
