Keansburg Man Faces Multiple Charges for Possession of Handgun, Ammunition and Heroin
Aberdeen Township Police are charging a Keansburg man after finding him in a Cross Road apartment
A Keansburg man was charged by Aberdeen Township Police with harassment, violation of a final restraining order, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain persons not to have a weapon, failing to properly secure a firearm with a minor present, possession of a handgun without first having obtained a permit to purchase and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Police say that at approximately 5:50 a.m. on Oct. 26, Officer Anthony Valentino responded to a report of a male in possession of a handgun inside an apartment on Cross Road.
Upon arrival, Officer Valentino observed James Golden, 24, sleeping with a handgun, ammunition and heroin by his side, according to Lt. Joseph Cole.

In default of $105,000 bail with no 10 % option, Golden was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
Officer Ray Campbell, Sergeant Dave Mauro and Det. Sgt. Mike O’Dwyer assisted with the investigation.
