A Keansburg man was arrested on a drug charge after Matawan Borough Police responded to a first aid call on Sept. 12, according to Lt. Ben Smith.

At about 5:57 a.m., police arrived at Ravine Manor Apartments to aid a resident with a leg injury. Police noticed a man exiting the apartment upon their arrival and requested that the man, later identified as John Fales, 48, of Keansburg, return inside.

Fales gave police a false name and left the apartment while officers were with the injured resident, Smith said. Officers located Fales in the apartment complex and upon further investigation discovered his real name and that he was in possession of Vicodin without a prescription.
