Cliffwood Man Found With 11 Wax Folds of Heroin, Police Say

Man remains jailed on $15,000 bail, according to authorities

A Cliffwood man faces drug charges after police said he had heroin and a prescription drug. 

Jessie Jones, 29, allegedly had 11 wax folds of heroin and a hypodermic syringe filled with the drug on Jan. 10, according to a criminal complaint filed by Aberdeen police. 

Police said they spotted Jones with a black eyeglass case that he threw into grass when he saw saw some officers. That case allegedly contained the drug and needle. 

Jones also had a single Xanax pill in his possession, police charge. 

Jones remains in custody at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $15,000 bail, no 10 percent option, according to inmate records. 

Aberdeen police on Jan. 10 also charged Daniel P. McHugh, 30, of Cliffwood with drug possession, as they said he had a Zolpidem pill without a prescription. 

Bail for McHugh was set at $7,500 in full, and he remains jailed, according to inmate records.
