Cliffwood Beach Man Indicted on Cocaine Distribution Charges

Investigators say he sold cocaine to undercover officers

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Cliffwood Beach man on several possession and distribution charges in Wall and Aberdeen.

Police say that James Guthridge, 27, distributed cocaine to an undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Strike Force in Wall on Nov. 10, 2011 and in Aberdeen on Nov. 16, 2011.

Guthridge faces two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, and two counts of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

All are third degree crimes.

An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that the charges may be brought to trial.
