Cliffwood Beach Man Charged with Possession and Distribution of Marijuana

He is also charged with allegedly doing so within 500 feet of Cliffwood Beach Park

A Cliffwood Beach man was charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and four counts each of possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, distribution of marijuana and distribution of marijuana within 500 feet of a park after the Bayshore Unit of the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Strike Force executed a search warrant of a Greenwood Avenue home on March 29, according to Chief of Police John Powers.

Erik Williams, 20, of Greenwood Avenue, allegedly sold marijuana to an undercover agent near Cliffwood Beach Park on multiple occassions throughout January, February and March of 2012, according to the formal charges filed against him by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

Williams was committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of $60,000 bail with no 10% option.
