Aberdeen-Matawan CERT Accepting Fall Applications

Do you want to learn life-saving skills and play a vital role in your community?

The Aberdeen-Matawan Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is still accepting applications for its fall program.

CERT is a nationwide initiative that falls under the Office of Emergency Management. Members are trained to respond to emergency situations. Aberdeen-Matawan CERT was formed earlier this year through an interlocal agreement between the two municipalities.

Classes will be held on the following Wednesdays from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.: Oct. 23, Oct. 30, Nov. 6, Nov. 13, Nov. 20, Dec. 4, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18. The training will be held at the Keyport First Aid Building on Atlantic Street.
