Aberdeen Township Police Blotter: July 22-July 23

Theft, damaged property and burglaries reported between July 22 and July 23

The Aberdeen Township Police responded to the following incidents between July 22 and July 23:

  • The burglary of the Hair Care salon, Highway 34, was reported on July 22, 2011. An amount of cash was taken. The method of entry was undetermined. Officer Matthew Lloyd took the report. Anyone with information should contact the detective bureau at 732-566-2054.
  • A male subject attempted to sell a counterfeit IPhone to an
    employee of the Raceway gas station on Highway 34 on July 22, 2011 at 2:05 PM. He fled on foot when questioned by the employee. Responding officers were unable to locate the actor. Officer Matthew Lloyd conducted the initial investigation.
  • On July 23, 2011 a resident of Shore Concourse reported the theft of two collectible Shea Stadium seats valued at $1,000 from a shed on the property. Officer Martin Walsh conducted the initial investigation.
  • Three attempted car burglaries were reported on Highway 35, Beach Drive, and Shore Concourse over the weekend. Nothing was taken. Residents are advised to lock their vehicles and remove all valuables. Anyone with information should contact the detective bureau at 732-566- 2054.
  • Three incidents of criminal mischief and the theft of an Ipod were reported over the weekend in the Matawan Terrace apartment complex over the weekend. P.O.s Gus Grivas and Matthew Lloyd investigated. A resident of Lower Main St. reported a window broken at her house on July 23, 2011. Officer Brian Alberti took the report.
  • A Wayne resident reported his car windshield broken while parked on Irongate Lane on July 24, 2011. Officer Gus Grivas investigated.
