After several reports of entry into unlocked vehicles this week, Aberdeen police are urging residents to make sure their car doors are locked.

Police said vehicles in the Santa Fe Junction development and Gables Apartments at Aberdeen Station were targeted during the evenings of Jan. 22 and 23. It appears someone “rummaged” through the vehicles, according to police.

“Residents are encouraged to lock their vehicles at all times and to immediately report all suspicious activity to the police department,” a statement reads.
