Aberdeen Township Police blotter for Jan. 31 through Feb. 6

The following is a list of arrests made by Aberdeen Township Police between Jan. 31 and Feb. 6. An arrest does not indicate guilt, only that formal charges may be brought against the individual.

Arrests made between Jan. 31 and Feb. 6:

  • James B. Williams, 28, of Aberdeen, was arrested by P.O. Raymond Campbell for contempt of court and obstruction of justice following a motor vehicle stop on Greenwood Avenue on Jan. 31 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Williams was wanted on contempt warrants out of North Plainfield and Aberdeen municipal courts. He fled into his house, but was apprehended soon thereafter.
  • A 32-year-old Long Branch resident was arrested by P.O. Louis Nanna on Feb. 3 for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
  • P.O. Craig Hausmann arrested a 31-year-old Hazlet man on Feb. 3 for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
  • A 25-year-old Aberdeen woman was arrested by P.O. Mary Johnston on Feb. 4 for simple assault.
  • A 39-year-old Aberdeen resident was arrested by P.O. Mary Johnston on Feb. 4 for contempt of court out of Freehold Borough municipal court.
  • On Feb. 6 P.O. Roger Peter arrested a 39-year-old Aberdeen man for criminal mischief.

  • On Jan. 31 P.O. Matthew Lloyd took a report of illegal dumping at Storyland Park.
  • A vehicle driven by a 63-year-old township woman on Lloyd Road shortly before noon on Jan. 31. The road was closed while workers removed the pole and downed wires. The driver was transported to Bayshore Community Hospital. P.O. Matthew Lloyd investigated.
  • Several motorcycle helmets and power tools were reported stolen from a storage unit at a self-storage facility on County Road on February 1st. The theft occurred sometime between Jan. 1 and Jan. 31. Det. Hank Chevalier investigated.
  • A burglary occurred at a residence on Oakshades Avenue on Feb. 1. P.O. Raymond Campbell took the initial report.
  • P.O. John Young responded to a report of a missing juvenile on Cliffwood Avenue on Feb. 2. The youth returned later that day.
  • On Feb. 2 Special Officer Michael Scarpa responded to a dispute between neighbors on Salem Place.
  • On Feb. 2 a resident of Wellington Place reported the theft of her parking permit for the Aberdeen train station lot. P.O. Jeffrey Griffith responded.
  • A residence on Church Street on Feb. 3 between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Cash, a camcorder, sports memorabilia, and jewelry were reported stolen. Entry was gained by forcing open the front door. P.O. Mary Johnston conducted the initial investigation. Anyone with information should contact the detective bureau.
