Aberdeen PD: Storage Unit Theft, Contempt of Court

Aberdeen Township Police activity between Nov. 4 and Nov. 6

Aberdeen Township Police Officers responded to or initiated 142 calls for service between Nov. 4 and Nov. 6, including four suspicious persons/vehicles, four alarms, five first aid calls, one domestic violence incident, fourteen traffic/radar details, four motor vehicle crashes, one theft, and sixty-four motor vehicle stops. Officers issued twenty-eight motor vehicle summonses.

The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests Nov. 4 through Nov. 6:

  • An Aberdeen woman, age 38, was arrested by Officer Roger Peter on Nov. 4 for contempt of court out of Old Bridge municipal court.
  • A twenty-six-year-old resident of Keyport was arrested by Special Officer Michael Scarpa on Nov. 4 on a contempt warrant out of Keansburg municipal court. He was released on bail.
  • An Aberdeen man, 26, was arrested by Officer Raymond Campbell on a contempt warrant following a motor vehicle stop on Highway 35 on Nov. 5 at 11:05 p.m. He was released on bail.
  • Officer Mary Johnston arrested a 21-year old resident of Matawan on Nov. 6 for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court. He was released after posting bail.
  • Officer Craig Hausmann arrested a 33-year old resident of Highland Park on Nov. 6 for contempt of court out of South Brunswick and East Brunswick municipal courts. He was turned over to East Brunswick police.

  • Officer Martin Walsh investigated the burglary of two storage units at a business located on County Rd. on Nov. 4. Power tools worth $600 were reported taken.
  • Officer Raymond Campbell responded to a report of a disorderly person on Lower Main St. on Nov. 4 at 5:42 p.m.
  • Officer Roger Peter investigated a report of trespassing and criminal mischief at the Somerset Anchor Glass building on Cliffwood Ave. on Nov. 4 at 11:24 p.m.
  • On Nov. 6 at 6:10 p.m. Officer Jeffrey Griffith responded to a report of theft of a purse at the Sports Zone, Highway 34.
  • Officer Edgar Serrano responded to a trespassing complaint at Peachtree Village, County Rd. on Nov. 6 at 8:21 p.m.
