Aberdeen PD: Jewelry Theft, Harassment

Aberdeen Township police activity between April 25 and May 1

The Aberdeen Township Police Department responded to or initiated 288 calls for service between April 25 and May 1, 2012, including ten suspicious persons/vehicles; 20 alarms; 20 first aid calls; twelve motor vehicle crashes; six thefts; three disorderly persons; one domestic violence incident; one noise complaint; and 85 motor vehicle stops, according to Aberdeen Chief of Police John Powers.

The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests between April 25, 2012 and May 1, 2012:

  • On April 25 P.O. Frank Maisano arrested an 18-year-old township man for contempt of court out of Aberdeen and Keyport municipal courts.
  • A 20-year-old Old Bridge man was arrested by P.O. Raymond Campbell on April 26 for contempt of court out of Old Bridge municipal court following a suspicious persons call on Beach Drive.
  • P.O. Gus Grivas arrested a 67-year-old township man for contempt of court out of Freehold Borough municipal court on April 26.
  • On April 27 P.O. Martin Walsh arrested a 25-year-old Colts Neck woman for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
  • P.O. Anthony Valentino arrested a 24-year-old Melrose Way man for contempt of court out of Aberdeen and Old Bridge municipal courts on April 28.
  • Sharon P. Brabant, 62, of Prospect Ave., Union Beach, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to keep right after a collision on April 28, 2012 at approximately 9:12 PM on Lower Main St. near Central Ave.  P.O. Brian Alberti was the arresting officer.
  • On April 29 P.O. Martin Walsh arrested a 48-year-old Aberdeen man for contempt of court out of Keansburg municipal court.
  • On April 29 P.O. John Young arrested a 50-year-old Old Bridge man for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
  • P.O. Michael Lasko arrested a 31-year-old township man for disorderly conduct at the Aberdeen train station on May 1.

  • On April 25 a Matawan Ave. resident reported the theft of jewelry from her residence over approximately two-week period.  P.O. Gus Grivas took the report.
  • The owner of Buy Rite Liquors, Highway 34, reported the theft of merchandise from the store.  P.O. Martin Walsh investigated.
  • P.O. Frank Maisano responded to a report of a disorderly customer at the CVS store on South Atlantic Ave. on April 26.
  • On April 27 P.O. Darryl Richardson took a report of harassing phone calls made to a Smith Court resident.
  • On April 27 a resident of Wellington Place reported criminal mischief to his vehicle.  P.O. Frank Maisano took the report.
  • P.O. Darryl Richardson responded to a report of harassment on Salem Place on April 28.
  • On April 28 a resident of Woodbine Drive reported the theft of her IPhone.  P.O. Darryl Richardson investigated.
  • P.O. Christopher DeSarno responded to a report of harassment on South Concourse on April 29.
  • On April 30 a Woodmere Drive resident reported someone broke into a shed on the property and took a mini-bike and electronics.  P.O. Matthew McDow responded.
  • On April 30 a Middletown resident reported the theft of DJ equipment and some personal items from his vehicle while parked at Tab Ramos Sports Center, Blair Road.  P.O. Louis Nanna responded.
  • P.O. Michael Lasko responded to a report of harassment at Wyndham Place on May 1.
