Aberdeen PD: Heroin Possession, Credit Card Fraud

Aberdeen police activity between April 4 and April 10

The responded to or initiated 256 calls for service between April 4 and April 10, 2012, including ten suspicious persons/vehicles; 14 alarms; 22 first aid calls; eleven motor vehicle crashes; eight thefts; eight disorderly persons; two domestic violence incidents; five noise complaints; and 73 motor vehicle stops, according to Chief of Police John Powers. Officers issued 51 motor vehicle summonses.

The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests April 4, 2012 through April 10, 2012:

  • A 29-year-old Waretown man was arrested by Special Officer Michael Sullivan on April 4 for contempt of court out of Monmouth County Superior Court.
  • A 39-year-old Aberdeen woman was arrested by P.O. Matthew Lloyd on April 4 for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
  • Nickolas J. Janicki, 25, Old Bridge, was arrested by P.O. Matthew Lloyd for possession of heroin and possession of a hypodermic syringe on April 5 following a motor vehicle stop on Lower Main Street.  He was also wanted on a contempt of court warrant out of Old Bridge municipal court.
  • P.O. Matthew Lloyd arrested a 56-year-old Matawan Ave. woman for simple assault on April 5.
  • A 40-year-old Aberdeen woman was arrested by P.O. Mary Johnston on April 6 for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
  • A 57-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested by P.O. Louis Nanna on April 7 for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
  • A 35-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested by P.O. John Young on April 9 for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
  • P.O. John Young arrested a 48-year-old Lorraine Dr. woman for simple assault on April 9.

  • P.O. Frank Maisano investigated a report of the theft of personal items at Matawan Regional High School on April 4.
  • P.O. Frank Maisano responded to a report of disorderly persons at a Hawthorne St. residence on April 4.
  • On April 5 a Lloyd Road resident reported the fraudulent use of his credit card.  P.O. Darryl Richardson investigated.
  • P.O. Darryl Richardson responded to a criminal mischief report on Courtland Lane on April 5.
  • On April 5 a Wister Place resident reported the theft of concrete lawn decorations. P.O. Darryl Richardson investigated.
  • On April 5 a Strathmore Gardens resident reported the fraudulent use of his credit card. Special Officer Michael Scarpa investigated.
  • P.O. Louis Nanna responded to a report of disorderly conduct at a Cliffwood Ave. residence on April 6.
  • On April 6 a resident of Dogwood Court reported that someone entered his home and removed his laptop computer. P.O. Louis Nanna investigated.
  • On April 6 a South Concourse resident reported the fraudulent use of her credit card to make online purchases. P.O. Mary Johnston investigated.
  • A Charles St. resident reported her tires were slashed sometime during the night on April 6. P.O. Mary Johnston investigated.
  • On April 7 P.O. Craig Hausmann responded to a harassment complaint at the Blur Rock Café, Amboy Ave.
  • P.O. Matthew McDow responded to a report that someone scratched a vehicle belonging to a resident of Wellington Place on April 7.
  • On April 8 P.O. Jeffrey Griffith responded to a report of a suspicious person at the WaWa store on Highway 35.
  • On April 9 an employee of Funtime America, County Rd., reported the theft of his IPhone.  P.O. Mary Johnston investigated.
  • On April 9 an employee of the Pet Valu store on Highway 35 reported that her electronic reading tablet was stolen while she was at work.  P.O. John Young took the report.
  • A resident of North Concourse reported the theft of arc welder cables overnight on April 10.  The cables were apparently taken for their copper content. P.O. Darryl Richardson took the report.
