Aberdeen PD: DWI, Suspicious Persons
Aberdeen Township Police activity between Mar. 7 and Mar. 13
Officers responded to or initiated 316 calls for service between March 7 and March 13, 2012, including 19 suspicious persons/vehicles; 15 alarms; 22 first aid calls; five domestic violence incident; 11 motor vehicle crashes; four thefts; six disorderly persons; and 93 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 82 motor vehicle summonses, according to Chief of Police John Powers.
The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests Mar. 7 through Mar. 13:
- A 36-year-old New Brunswick resident was arrested by P.O. Raymond Campbell on Mar. 7 for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
- P.O. Mary Johnston arrested an Aberdeen woman on Mar. 7 for contempt of court out of Trenton municipal court.
- A 43-year-old Aberdeen resident was arrested by P.O. Anthony Valentino on Mar. 7 for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
- An Aberdeen man and a Keyport man were in the township after police responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Gaston St. and Woolley Street on Mar. 9. Both were released pending a municipal court appearance. Police seized several rifles and handguns. Investigating officers were P.O. Raymond Campbell, P.O. Anthony Valentino, and Sgt. Raymond Sosa. Lt. Alan Geyer, Sgt. Henry Chevalier, and P.O. Matthew Lloyd assisted.
- A 47-year-old Old Bridge man was arrested by Sgt. Henry Chevalier on Mar. 9 for theft from a business on Highway 35.
- A 42-year-old Marlboro woman was arrested by Det. Manny Carabel on Mar. 9 for issuing bad checks.
- A 40-year-old Keansburg resident was arrested by P.O. Craig Hausmann on Mar. 9 for contempt of court out of Matawn municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Ave.
- P.O. Frank Maisano arrested a 31-year-old Matawan woman for shoplifting at the Stop and Shop store on Highway 34 on Mar. 9.
- A 27-year-old Carteret resident was arrested by P.O. Raymond Campbell on Mar. 10 for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court following an incident at Matawan Terrace Apartments.
- A 30-year-old Middletown woman was arrested by P.O. Frank Maisano on Mar. 10 for contempt of court out of Eatontown municipal court following an incident at Matawan Terrace Apartments.
- A 41-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested by P.O. Michael Lasko on Mar. 10 for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
- Neil W. Garland, 28, Madison, WI, was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, reckless driving, uninsured vehicle, refusal to submit to a breath test, and failure to wear a seat belt following a motor vehicle stop on Highway 35 on Mar. 11 at 11:40 p.m. P.O. Raymond Campbell was the arresting officer.

- On Mar. 7 P.O. Mary Johnston responded to a suspicious persons report on Icemeadow Lane. Two individuals were issued summonses for soliciting without a permit.
- P.O. Jeffrey Griffith investigated a report of harassment on North Concourse on Mar. 7.
- On Mar. 8 a resident of Cross Ave. reported that two pairs of sunglasses valued at $200 were taken from his vehicle. P.O. Michael Plant investigated.
- On Mar. 8 five youths were issued local ordinance summonses for being in Fordham Park after hours when P.O. Matthew McDow investigated a noise complaint.
- P.O. Anthony Valentino the burglary of a residence on Irongate Lane on Mar. 8. Entry was gained through a bedroom window. Nothing was reported taken.
- A resident of Cross Ave. reported a backpack containing an IPad and personal items was taken from her vehicle on Mar. 9. P.O. Martin Walsh investigated.
- P.O. Frank Maisano responded to a report of a loud party at Matawan Terrace Apartments on Mar. 10.
- On Mar. 10 P.O. Martin Walsh responded to a report of bad checks at a gas station on Highway 34.
- On Mar. 10 P.O. Darryl Richardson responded to a neighbor dispute at Matawan Terrace Apartments.
- P.O. Martin Walsh investigated the theft of audio equipment from the Sports Zone Bar and Grill, Highway 34, on Mar. 10.
- On Mar. 11 P.O. Martin Walsh responded to a report of harassing phone calls on Fourth St.
- P.O. Matthew Lloyd responded to a harassment report on Mar. 12 made by a resident of Gloucester Ct.
- On Mar. 12 P.O. Darryl Richardson responded to a report of suspicious activity on Greenwood Ave.
- P.O. Matthew McDow investigated a report of disorderly persons on Matawan Ave. on Mar. 13.
