Aberdeen Township Police responded to or initiated 255 calls for service between Feb. 29 and Mar. 6

Aberdeen Township Police responded to or initiated 255 calls for service between Feb. 29 and Mar. 6, including seven suspicious persons/vehicles, 13 alarms, 16 first aid calls, one domestic violence incident, nine motor vehicle crashes, three thefts, ten disorderly persons and 76 motor vehicle stops, according to Chief of Police John Powers. Officers issued 56 motor vehicle summonses.

The Aberdeen Township Police reports that they made the following arrests Feb. 29 through Mar. 6:

  • P.O. Frank Maisano arrested Laila Y. Tabash, 24, Trenton, on March 2 for driving while intoxicated and reckless driving following a motor vehicle stopon Highway 35.
  • James L. Cadestin, 21, Aberdeen, Klenton Taylor, 19, Old Bridge, Christian P. Vuolo, 20, Old Bridge, by P.O. Gus Grivas and P.O. Matthew Lloyd following an incident at the Somerset Anchor site on Cliffwood Ave. on Mar. 2. Bail was set at $35,000 no 10% option on all three men and they were committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default.
  • A 35-year-old Aberdeen resident was arrested by P.O. Frank Maisano on Mar. 2 for contempt of court out of Woodbridge municipal court.
  • P.O. Raymond Campbell arrested an Aberdeen woman on Mar. 3 for contempt of court out of Sayreville municipal court.
  • P.O. Raymond Campbell arrested two Aberdeen men on Mar. 4 for simple assault and disorderly conduct after an altercation on Lloyd Road.
  • A 20-year-old Old Bridge woman was arrested by P.O. Matthew Lloyd on Mar. 4 for driving while suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop in Matawan Terrace Apartments. A 29-year-old Old Bridge man was also arrested for contempt of court out of Sayreville municipal court during the same incident.
  • P.O. Frank Maisano arrested John P. Schifini, 56, Aberdeen, on Mar. 4 for driving while intoxicated, possession of open alcohol in a motor vehicle, and reckless driving following a motor vehicle stop on Greenwood Ave.
  • A 33-year-old Keyport resident was arrested by P.O. Craig Hausmann on Mar. 5 for disorderly conduct following an incident on Highway 35 at 2:55 a.m.
  • A 35-year-old Matawan resident was arrested by P.O. Matthew McDow on Mar. 5 for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
  • A 54-year-old Manalapan resident was arrested by Sgt. Frank Sigismondi on Mar. 6 for contempt of court out of Newark municipal court.

  • On Mar. 4 P.O. Craig Hausmann responded to a on Atlantic Ave.
  • On Mar. 5 P.O. Mary Johnston responded to a Lower Main St. residence on report of fraudulent bank withdrawals.
  • A resident of County Rd. reported the harassment that took place on Cliffwood Ave. on March 6. P.O. Mary Johnston investigated.
  • On Mar. 6 a manager at the Strathmore Lanes, Highway 34, reported the theft of $1,200 worth of machine parts from the rear of the building sometime between February 28 and March 6. A mid-size silver or gray SUV may have been used. P.O. Mary Johnston investigated.
