Aberdeen PD: Disorderly Conduct, Shoplifting

Aberdeen Township Police activity between August 8 and August 14, 2012

The Aberdeen Township Police Department responded to or initiated 293 calls for service between August 8 and August 14, 2012, including 16 suspicious persons/vehicles; 19 alarms; 21 first aid calls; 11 motor vehicle crashes; one burglary; four thefts; six domestic violence incidents, eight noise complaints; three criminal mischief incidents, seven disorderly persons and 96 motor vehicle stops, according to Chief of Police John Powers. Officers also issued 74 motor vehicle summonses.

The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests August 8, 2012 through August 14, 2012:

  • P.O. Raymond Campbell charged a 23-year-old Staten Island man with obstruction of justice following an incident on Amboy Ave. on August 8.   
  • P.O. Frank Maisano arrested a 26-year-old Keyport woman for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court on August 8.
  • P.O. Brian Alberti arrested a 22-year-old Perth Amboy man for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court on August 8.
  • A 33- year-old Aberdeen woman was arrested for disorderly conduct on August 8 following an incident at Avalon apartments, Central Ave.  P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
  • On August 8 Jessica N. Klausner, 24, with addresses in Matawan and Manalapan, was arrested by Sgt. Hank Chevalier in connection with two shoplifting incidents that occurred in July at the Shop Rite store on Lloyd Rd.  On August 9 she was arrested by P.O. Frank Maisano for shoplifting at the Stop and Shop store on Highway 34.
  • P.O. John Zeller arrested a 56-year-old Freehold man on August 9 for violation of a restraining order related to an incident on Cliffwood Ave.
  • Three Aberdeen men were arrested for criminal trespass after they were found in an abandoned structure on Highway 35 on August 9.  P.O. Gus Grivas and P.O. Darryl Richardson were the arresting officers.
  • P.O. Craig Hausmann arrested a 38-year-old Keyport woman for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court on August 11.
  • A 32-year-old Aberdeen woman was charged with obstruction of justice, false public alarm, and resisting arrest following an incident at Matawan Terrace apartments on August 12.  P.O. Craig Hausmann was the arresting officer.
  • Sgt. Michael O’Dwyer arrested a 16-year-old Perth Amboy youth on August 13 for the July 21 burglary of a Sweetbriar St. residence.
  • P.O. Louis Nanna arrested a 47-year-old Aberdeen man for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court on August 14.

  • On August 8 P.O. Darryl Richardson investigated the theft of cash from a register from a business on Highway 35.  
  • On August 8 a resident of Idolstone Lane reported damage to her vehicle that took place sometime over the previous weekend.  P.O. Gus Grivas responded.
  • On August 8 a West Concourse resident reported she received several suspicious phone calls requesting she verify her credit card information.  P.O. Gus Grivas took the report.
  • On August 9 a resident of Jersey Ave. reported that someone had hacked his cell phone and was using the number to make unauthorized calls.  P.O. Martin Walsh took the report.
  • On August 10 a resident of Raritan St. reported she was the victim of an internet fraud scam.  P.O. John Zeller investigated.
  • Special Officer Michael Scarpa responded to a report of harassment on Highway 35 on August 11.
  • P.O. Craig Hausmann responded to a report of an assault on Jersey Ave. on August 12.
  • On August 12 a resident of Prospect Ave. reported someone entered her residence and took jewelry.  P.O. Anthony Marone investigated.
  • P.O. Anthony Marone responded to a report of harassment on County Rd. on August 12.
  • A resident of Ferndale Place reported she was harassed by a man in front of the A & P store, Highway 35 on August 13.  P.O. Jeffrey Griffith responded.
  • On August 14 a Prospect Ave. resident reported someone damaged his pool liner.  P.O. Craig Hausmann investigated.
