Aberdeen PD Blotter: Vandalism, Harassment

Aberdeen Township Police Blotter Aug. 5 - Aug. 14

Police activity in Aberdeen from Aug. 5 through Aug. 14 as reported by the Township Police:

  • The Aberdeen police responded to a report of harassment on Aug. 8 at 7:47 AM on Woodmere Drive when a resident reported ketchup thrown on her vehicle. Officer Martin Walsh responded.
  • On Aug. 8 police investigated criminal mischief done to a utility pole on Cliffwood Ave. Officer Martin Walsh investigated.
  • A resident of Cedar Place reported that two of the tires on his vehicle were slashed between Aug. 5 and Aug. 8. Officer Martin Walsh investigated.
  • Police investigated a criminal mischief incident on Line Road after a resident of Oxford Lane reported his windshield smashed overnight on Aug. 8. Officer Gus Grivas responded.
  • The window of a vehicle parked in the Matawan Terrace Apartment complex overnight between Aug. 7 and 8 was smashed and an amount of cash was taken. Officer Gus Grivas investigated.
  • Officer Michael Lasko responded to a burglary at a residence being renovated on Avondale Lane reported on August 9, 2011. A washer and dryer valued at $2,000 was taken from the residence. Anyone with information should contact the detective bureau.
  • On Aug. 10 police recovered a stolen vehicle that had been abandoned on Wilson Ave. The vehicle had been reported stolen in Mansfield Township. Officer Michael Lasko investigated.
  • William J. Dalton, 46, of Aberdeen, was arrested for simple assault on Aug. 8 by Officer Frank Maisano. He was released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.
  • Joseph T. Maffei, 56, of Aberdeen, was arrested on Aug. 10 on a warrant from the NJ Division of Parole. He was released on his
    own recognizance. Officer Louis Nanna was the arresting officer.
  • Lucius J. Irwin, 36, of Bayonne, was arrested on Aug. 11 on a contempt of court warrant out of Aberdeen Municipal Court. He
    was committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Officer Michael Lasko was the arresting officer.
  • Joseph Quiles, 24, of Brooklyn, NY, was arrested on Aug.
    11 by Officer Mary Johnston on a contempt of court warrant out of Aberdeen Municipal Court. He was committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail.
  • •Dolores J. Costello, 30, Brookside Ave., Aberdeen, was arrested for simple assault on Aug. 14 by Officer Roger Peter. She was released on her own recognizance pending a court appearance.
