Aberdeen Township Police Department responded to or initiated 265 calls for service between June 13 and June 19

The Aberdeen Township Police Department responded to or initiated 265 calls for service between June 13 and June 19, including 15 suspicious persons/vehicles; 12 alarms; 12 first aid calls; 13 motor vehicle crashes; five thefts; three disorderly persons; three domestic violence incidents; eight noise complaints; and 75 motor vehicle stops, according to Chief of Police John Powers. Officers also issued 42 motor vehicle summonses.

The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests June 13, 2012 through June 19, 2012:

  • A 26 year-old Central Ave. man was arrested for criminal mischief following an incident at Avalon apartments on June 13.  P.O. Anthony Valentino was the arresting officer.  
  • On June 13 P.O. John Zeller arrested a 20-year-old Aberdeen man for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal court.
  • On June 14 P.O. John Zeller arrested two 19-year-old Colts Neck residents for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Cliffwood Beach.
  • A 39 year-old Aberdeen woman was arrested for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal on June 14.  P.O. Raymond Campbell was the arresting officer.
  • Aberdeen police following an incident at the CVS drug store on South Atlantic Ave. on June 14.
  • A 25 year-old Old Bridge man was arrested for criminal mischief following an incident at Ken Garden apartments on June 15.  P.O. Raymond Campbell was the arresting officer.
  • A 55 year-old Old Bridge woman was arrested for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal on June 16.  Special Officer Michael Scarpa was the arresting officer.
  • A 19 year-old Sweetbriar St. man was arrested for contempt of court out of Aberdeen municipal on June 18.  P.O. Vito Turchiano was the arresting officer.

  • On June 15 it was reported that someone took a 150-foot roll of temporary chain link fence valued at $2,000 from a construction site on Highway 35.  P.O. Darryl Richardson investigated.
  • On June 15 P.O. Darryl Richardson responded to a fraud report on Central Ave.
  • A resident of Matawan Terrace apartments reported criminal mischief to her vehicle on June 15. P.O. Edgar Serrano responded.
  • A resident of Marshall Concourse reported the theft of a bicycle valued at $100 on June 16. P.O. Gus Grivas investigated.
  • On June 16 an employee of the Super Buy Rite on Highway 34 reported two juveniles attempted to steal bottles of liquor. P.O. Darryl Richardson investigated.
  • On June 16 and his vehicle stolen at 11:45 PM on Wayside Drive. The suspect is described as a black male. Anyone with information should contact the detective bureau at 732-566-2054.
  • On June 17 a resident of Woodbine Drive reported harassment to P.O. Louis Nanna.
  • On June 17 P.O. Louis Nanna responded to a report of harassment on Salem Place.
  • A Marshall Concourse resident reported someone taking photos of his home on June 18.  P.O. John Young took the report.
  • On June 19 a resident of Bechstein Dr. reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and took a cellular phone and sunglasses with a total value of $425.  P.O. Anthony Marone responded.
