O.B. municipal utilities authorities

Recently, as a local family run business in old bridge, we have received a water/sewer bill of $1,490.00! As it came to a major shock to us in these difficult financial times, I decided to call the company. I checked our books and have been paying an average of $120.00 per quarter! Ok so I called! Come to find out that their drive by transponders have not been working! Not working? FOR 6 Quarters!  That's 18 months!!!! Without any generated public letter or phone call explaining this?  Why not hire people to read the meters? Why not given an option to call in readings? You won't believe what I was told! It is just as much my fault as theirs because I should have seen they were not actual readings and were estimates! Did I go to school to read your bills? Is this my job? 18 months to replace transponders? Not only are we affected but apparently others on the route are also! Be aware! Watch your bill! I was offered to raise the estimate which will lower my payment and pay it off over time! That's not good business to me! I want to report them to fair trade or something. Just because they are only company they get to do what they want ? No!!!
