Obituary: Stephanie Thomas, 86, of Laurence Harbor

She worked as a machine operator with Plascon Manufacturing, Laurence Harbor, before retiring.

Stephanie E. (Keller) Thomas, 86, of Laurence Harbor, passed away, Thursday, August 22, 2013, at her daughter’s home in Leonardo. Born in Perth Amboy, she was a lifelong resident of Laurence Harbor. She worked as a machine operator with Plascon Manufacturing, Laurence Harbor, before retiring. She was a bingo fanatic and loved playing the slots in A.C. She enjoyed her beloved cat “Coco” of 14 years; and feeding the birds, squirrels and the other creatures that visited.

Stephanie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter in 2002; her parents, Walter and Pauline (Adamiak) Keller; a daughter, Alice Olszewski; three brothers, Michael, Walter and John Keller; and two sisters, Stella Murrifield and Josephine Miller.  She is survived by her loving children, Shirley Olszewski and husband Robert of Leonardo; Walter Thomas of Michigan; Danny Thomas and wife Diane of Michigan; James Thomas of Laurence Harbor; a son-in-law, Gene Olszewski of PA; a dear brother, Anthony Keller of Perth Amboy; 14 cherished grandchildren and 13 precious great grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited, Sunday, August 25, 2013, from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Monday, August 26, 2013, 8AM at the funeral home, with a 9AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence RC Church, 109 Laurence Parkway, Laurence Harbor.  Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.  To offer the family online condolences or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
