Obituary: Music Lover Jacob 'Jack' Koza, 62, of Matawan

Visitation will be held Tuesday; funeral service scheduled for Wednesday.

The following obituary was provided by the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home:

Jacob "Jack" Koza, 62, of Matawan, died on Oct. 25, 2013 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. 

He was born on March 3, 1951 in Newark. Jack grew up loving music. He was a musician from a young age, at age 14 he was in the band "Trieste." He eventually began work for different entertainment and music companies before beginning his own business, JK Audio NJ.

He continued to give in his life by performing sound events for the Holiday Express, events for muscular dystrophy, and the Special Olympics.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Carol Koza; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Kristin and Chris DiStefano of Aberdeen, and  Jacklyn and Justin Rublowitz of Aberdeen; his grandchildren, Stephen, Madison, Isabella, Anastasia, and Sofia; and his many friends and associates.

Jacob was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Filomena Koza.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's RC Church, Maple PL., Keyport. 

Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
