Obituary: Lucy Marie Caprioni, 91, of Matawan

She worked as a secretary for the Printshop at Fort Monmouth where she met her husband Dan.

Lucy Marie Caprioni, 91, of Matawan, passed away, Sunday, February 17, 2013, Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  

Born in Red Bank, she was a lifelong resident of Matawan. She worked as a secretary for the Printshop at Fort Monmouth where she met her husband Dan. They were happily married for 58 years. She left her job at Ft. Monmouth in 1956 to start her rewarding new career as a mother of two boys. She was a dedicated mother who was active in the PTA and volunteered as a lunch aid at her boy’s schools.  She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, crosstitch and being with family and friends. 

Lucy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel M. Caprioni; her parents, Pasquale and Maria Armolino Cravalot and her sisters, Mary Koopman; Philomena Straniero; and Yolanda Richards. She is survived by two loving sons, Mark and wife Dr. Donna Grebek of Green Brook and Daniel and wife Iris of Parsippany; and two cherished grandchildren, Amy and Jason. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
