Obituary: Elizabeth Russo of Matawan

Elizabeth L. (Cafarella) Russo of Matawan, passed away, Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was born in Brooklyn.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, John and Louise (French) Cafarella; four brothers, Howard McBeth, John Cafarella; Joseph Cafarella and Edward Cafarella; and three sisters, Josephine (Cafarella) Ryans; Ann (Cafarella) Suriano and Eleanor (MacBeth) DelGorno. She is survived by a sister, Theresa (Cafarella) Quinn, and a brother, Thomas Cafarella. Her children, Joanne (Russo) Reed, Michael Russo, Paul Wade, Edward Wade and Robert Wade and their father Walter J. Wade. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Elizabeth Griffin, Cathy Conlee, Christina Dean, Bill Dean, Patricia Russo, Nicholas Wade, Kate Wade, Misty Black, Mandy Young & Nicole Wade and 11 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735, was in charge of the arrangements. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the First Baptist Church Chapel, 232 Main St., Matawan, NJ 07747 between the hours of 3-6pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
