Obituary: Edward Pinter, 64, Formerly of Aberdeen

He was involved with the Matawan-Aberdeen Huskies Pop Warner Football Organization for 11 years.

Edward J. Pinter, 64, of West Orange, passed away, Sunday, September 1, 2013, at home. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Aberdeen before moving to West Orange. He worked as a manager with Sigma-Netics, Riverdale for the past 27 years. Ed took great pride in his career. He was involved with the Matawan-Aberdeen Huskies Pop Warner Football Organization for 11 years. He was an avid fly fisherman, and though self taught, he excelled in this art form. Fishing was his true passion and he went on to teach lessons in order to share his knowledge and expertise.

Edward was predeceased by his parents, Julius and Lorraine B. Anderson Pinter. He is survived by his loving children, Jason Pinter and wife Krista of Aberdeen; Taryn Pinter and Ty Kleffman of Matawan; and Laura Pinter and Richard Nagy of Pine Island, NY; a dear sister, Joyce Scire and husband Joe of Aiken, SC; three cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Lyla, Owen; adored nieces, Lisa Kressler and husband Ed of Chatham; and Leigh Christ of Allentown; Lisa’s children, Conner, Kyle and Delaney; and his former wife of 27 years, Sharyn Pinter.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

At the direction of the family, cremation was private. A Memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2013, from 2-6PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735, with a 3PM service at the funeral home.
