Clare Obuchowicz, St. Joseph Parishioner, Dies at 87

Clare resided in Union Beach prior to moving to Morganville section of Marlboro Township.

Clara E. (Stryker) Obuchowicz, 87, of Morganville, passed away, Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at home.  Born in Bayonne, she resided in Union Beach prior to moving to Morganville section of Marlboro Township. For 20 years, she had an administrative position with Bell Labs, Holmdel.  Clara was a parishioner with St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport. 

Clara was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanley J. Obuchowicz in 2007; her parents, Philip and Clara Conor Stryker; and siblings, Emma Santori; Theresa Poling; Philip Stryker; and Patricia Hull.  She is survived by her loving children, John Obuchowicz of Morganville; Robert Obuchowicz and his wife, Barbara of Elk Grove, CA; and their children, Erika L., Andrea D. and Robert P.;  and Linda Ooms of The Villages, FL; a sister, Mary Stryker and a brother, Charles Stryker, both of Keyport. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited Friday, March 29 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735, and Saturday, March 30 at 9 a.m., with a 9:30 a.m.  service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Villagers for Hospice, 601 Casa Bella Drive, The Villages,FL  32162.
