Night Out at MJ's Buttonwood to Benefit Matawan First Aid and Rescue Squad

The "Life-Saving Cash & Cocktail Night" night will feature raffles, prizes, food and drinks.

A cocktail is just what the doctor ordered.

Attend the "Life-Saving Cash & Cocktail Night" this December at MJ's Buttonwood to help support the Matawan First Aid and Rescue Squad. Tickets cost $100 each and are now on sale.

Organized by the First Aid and Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary, the two-hour social event will feature cash door prizes, raffles, wine, beer and appetizers. The night begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6.

If all tickets to the event are sold, the highest cash prize will be $10,000, according to President Steven Morley. If not, the top prize will be 20 percent of all proceeds collected.

The squad has provided emergency basic life support services to the borough free of charge since the entirely volunteer force was organized in 1934, according to Morley. The squad relies on community donations to help continue providing life-saving services to the Matawan area.

The Matawan First Aid and Rescue Squad is hoping to also find business partners to help with this event, according to Morley.

For tickets or to become a business partner, contact Morley via email at Matawanfirstaid@aol.com or via phone at 908-907-8913.
