Latin Sax Quartet- A Music for the Americas @ Casa de Educacion y Cultura in Perth Amboy
La Casa Latino Sounds Unplugged ignites their summer programming with a FREE CONCERT celebrating the Latino/Hispanic contribution to classical music, as well as an eclectic representation of the diversity of Hispanic culture.
The LatinSaxQuartet (LSQ) is a NJ/NY musical force that combines the varying styles of four emerging Latin saxophonists, Oscar Gongora, Roman Filiu, Alejandro Rios and Raul Cordies. Under the directorship of Gongora, a prolific and dynamic interpreter in his own right, the quartet ably demonstrates the expansive and diverse beauty and countenance of a largely unknown yet rich and colorful repertoire of Latin American composers.
LSQ is a refreshingly welcoming sound in classical music. Formed with the encouragement of the legendary classical clarinetist, Latin-Jazz saxophonist, composer and 13 time Grammy winner Paquito D'Rivera, theirs is an effort to present the classical repertoire in a new fashion, infusing their own individual characteristics as musicians with elements of traditional expressions that transcend Europe, entering a new world.

If you have never moved to classical music, you will move with LSQ!
