Week Ahead: Boy Scouts' Flag Retirement Ceremony Honors Sept. 11 Victims

Board of Education Committee Meeting

The Matawan Aberdeen Board of Education will meet at Cambridge Park for a committee of the whole meeting. Although the purpose of the meeting is to review and discuss the agenda for the upcoming regular action meeting, action may be taken.

Flag Retirement Ceremony

Boy Scout Troop 364 of Keyport will be holding a flag retirement ceremony commemorating the victims of 911. It will be taking place at the beachfront, near the boat launch at 6:30 pm. The boys will also be accepting donations of NEW socks or underwear for the victims of the Oklahoma Tornados.

The Matawan Borough Shade Tree Commission will meet at 5 p.m. at the community center. The meeting is open to the public.
