Next week, on Thursday, Mar. 22 at 9:15 a.m., Matawan Music Together will offer a free demo class for interested students. Registration is required to make sure there is enough space.

Monday, Mar. 12

The Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday for their workshop meeting.

Tuesday, Mar. 13

A blood drive honoring Stan Moelius, life member of Cliffwood Volunteer Fire Company, will be held on Tuesday starting at 10 a.m. Donors must present photo or signature ID and should drink plenty of water before donating. Donors must be healthy, at least 16 years of age (with parental consent under age 18) and weigh at least 120 pounds. Wednesday, Mar. 14

Registration for spring programs begins at 8 a.m. online, in-person at Thompson Park Headquarters in Lincroft, or by calling 732-842-4000, ext 1.

Aberdeen Zoning Board

The Aberdeen Township Zoning Board will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the municipal building.

The Matawan-Aberdeen Public Library will have a board meeting on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Library. The public is welcome to attend.

Friday, Mar. 1

March with the members Jersey city Emerald Society Pipes & Drums during the 2nd Annual New Jersey’s Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade, put on by Washington Engine Company. Corn beef dinner will be served at the firehouse. Donations are welcome. Marcher’s welcome- info: Bob Ziegler-732-620-5651

Join early childhood music expert, Lisa Hearns, at 4 p.m. on Friday for Irish folk tales and tunes at the Keyport Public Library. An Irish music and folk celebration, for toddlers, pre-schoolers, kindergarteners and the grown-ups who love them. Rhythm instruments and song lyric sheets will be available for singing and playing along. Call 732-264-0543 to sign up.
