Police: Solar Panels Damaged at Riverdale Drive Sewage Pump Station in Aberdeen

A look at police activity in Aberdeen Township between April 24 and April 30, 2013.

The Aberdeen Township Police Department responded to or initiated 329 calls for service between April 24 and April 30, 2013, including 16 suspicious persons/vehicles; 17 alarms; 13 first aid calls; nine motor vehicle crashes; three thefts; six domestic violence incident, seven disorderly persons, three assaults, two burglaries, three noise complaints, and 118 motor vehicle stops, according to Police Chief John Powers. Officers also issued 82 motor vehicle summonses.

The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests April 24, 2013 through April 30, 2013:

  • P.O. Frank Maisano arrested a 51-year-old Aberdeen woman on contempt warrants out of Woodbridge municipal court and the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office on Highway 35 on April 25.
  • P.O. Frank Maisano arrested a 37-year-old Aberdeen man on contempt warrants out of Holmdel municipal court and the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office on Highway 35 on April 26.
  • A 20-year-old township woman was charged with simple assault following an incident at Ken Gardens apartments, Matawan Ave., on April 28.  P.O. Craig Hausmann was the arresting officer.
  • A 28-year-old Marlboro man was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Matawan Ave. on April 28.  P.O. Raymond Campbell made the arrest.
  • On April 30 P.O. Christopher DeSarno arrested a 16-year-old township girl for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on Atlantic Ave.

  • On April 24 P.O. John Zeller responded to a report of internet harassment on Fordham Drive.
  • On April 25 a Deerfield Lane resident reported her car windshield and window on her home were broken.  P.O. Edgar Serrano investigated.
  • Sometime between April 23 and April 25 someone damaged six solar panels at the sewage pump station on Riverdale Drive. Special Officer Ronald Osadacz investigated.
  • P.O. Mary Johnston responded to a report of a suspicious person on Raritan St. on April 25. 
  • On April 25 a West Concourse resident reported that someone entered his vehicles and removed loose change.  P.O. John Zeller took the report.
  • A 19-year-old township man reported he was assaulted in Midland Park on April 26.  P.O. Mary Johnston responded. 
  • P.O. Jeffrey Griffith investigated a report of a suspicious person at Kindercare Learning Center, Hwy. 34 on April 26.
  • P.O. Mary Johnston responded to a report of harassment on Gaston St. on April 27.
  • On April 27 a Cliffwood Ave. resident reported that someone entered her vehicle and rummaged through the interior.  Nothing was reported taken. P.O. Mary Johnston took the report.
  • On April 27 a Keyport Ave. resident reported that someone entered her vehicle and removed loose change and a debit card.  P.O. John Zeller took the report. 
  • P.O. Mary Johnston responded to a report of criminal mischief at a church on West Concourse on April 28.
  • P.O. Frank Maisano investigated the theft of money from the Wendy’s restaurant, Hwy. 35, on April 28.
  • P.O. Martin Walsh investigated an incident of terroristic threats and criminal mischief on County Rd. on April 28.
  • P.O. John Zeller responded to a report of disorderly conduct at Ken Garden apartments on April 29.
  • On April 30 P.O. Anthony Valentino responded to an assault report at Matawan Terrace apartments, Cross Rd. 
  • P.O. Gus Grivas responded to a neighbor dispute on North Concourse on April 30.
