Obituary: Mary Veronica Mackintosh, 80, of Aberdeen

Mary had a passion for everything Disney and was an avid reader.

Mary Veronica Mackintosh of Aberdeen passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013 in Clearwater, Florida. She was 80 years old. 

Born in Jersey City, she resided in Iselin before moving to Palm Bay, FL, Avenel, Woodbridge and Aberdeen. 

She was employed by St. Cecelia’s School, Woodbridge Moving and Storage, Royal Foods, and retired from St. Paul’s Insurance in 1988.

Mary had a passion for everything Disney and was an avid reader.

She was predeceased by her husband John “Jack” Mackintosh, Sr. in 1996; her parents, Delores and Edward Tomney, Sr.; her brothers Edward, Jr., Charles and Lawrence Tomney.

She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her 7 children and their spouses, Patricia A. Mackintosh, Mary E. and Michael Feuker, John W., Jr. and Melissa Mackintosh, Richard E. and Victoria Mackintosh, Mark W. and Mary Jo Mackintosh, James T. Mackintosh and Margaret M. and Cindy Mackintosh; her brother, James Tomney; 12 grandchildren, Arthur, Melissa, Kyle, Laura, Matthew, Mark, John, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Brogan, Erin and Ellie; and her 6 great-grandchildren, Makaila, Areanna, Riley, Benjamin, Arthur and Sean. 

Funeral will take place Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from Costello-greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will take place at 10:00 a.m. at St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge. Interment will be in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
