NJ Transit Rail Lines Suspended as of Noon Saturday

Rail, light rail, bus and access link services suspended at 12 p.m. Aug. 27

A suspension on all NJ Transit rail, bus, light rail and access link services will go into effect as of 12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, according to an alert on the NJ Transit website.

The rail suspension includes the following lines: North Jersey Coast, Northeast Corridor, Raritan Bay, Morris & Essex, Main/Bergen/Port Jervis, Montclair-Boonton, Passaic Valley and Atlantic City.

According to the alert, trains originating at terminals before 12 p.m. will continue to their final destination. The suspension will remain in effect all day Sunday, Aug. 28.

NJ Transit will begin cross honoring tickets at 12:01 a.m., Saturday. This enables customers to use their ticket or pass on an alternate travel mode—rail, bus or light rail, where service is available.
