What better way to reach the community than directly through Patch?

Several local business owners, organization leaders and non-profits stopped by in Marlboro Wednesday night for an evening of networking and learning to grow their online presence through Patch.

Who wouldn't want to enjoy a free night of fresh sliders, cheesesteaks and chili dogs while learning how to tap into Matawan-Aberdeen Patch's and Marlboro-Colts Neck Patch's tens of thousands of monthly readers?

Don't worry though. If you couldn't make it last night, you can still grow your business on Patch for free. You'll just have to stop by Stewart's on your own accord to enjoy some rootbeer and cheese fries.

Are you ready to get Patchy? Here are four super easy ways to tap into Patch's strong online presence in your local community.

  1. Announcements
    Our announcements section is a great way to let the community know what you are up to. Maybe your art students just did an awesome job on a pastel of a historic site in Matawan, or maybe your jewelry shop is carrying that promote the anti-bullying message. for instructions.

  2. Event Listings
    This is a great way to publicize your group's special events and happenings. Our calendar is a local resource built by members of our community. To add an event to our calendar, all you have to do is go to matawan-aberdeen.patch.com, click on the word "Events" in the navigation bar, click "Add an Event" on the top right and fill out the form and submit. With this form, you are also highly encouraged to upload photos or PDF versions of a flyer advertising the event. The more photos and the more detailed, the more likely the event will be featured on the front page.

  3. Blogging
    We invite all members of our community to blog in our local voices section. There is no set limit on how much or little you blog, frequency is completely up to you. If this is something you are interested in, just click here and start writing. Maybe you want to showcase your local singing group through videos and audience reviews, or maybe you want to share the s. Whatever it is, it will help get your group's name out there.


  4. All users can add events taking place at local spots, can on a scale of one to five stars, and can .
