Flooding Closes Lanes on Rt. 35

The section between Cliffwood Ave and County Rd is now open

Route 35 between County Road and Cliffwood Avenue experienced lane closures this morning, Aug. 15, due to flooding.

Police say that one lane on the southbound section of the road remains closed. All lanes on the northbound side are open as of 8 a.m.

According to Aberdeen Chief of Police John Powers, one lane on each side of Route 35 remained open between about 7 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.

All lanes on the southbound section of the road were closed around 5:30 a.m., according to reports from the Breaking News Network.
