Flash Flood Warnings in Effect Tonight, Aug. 14

The National Weather Service issued a warning for flash floods, severe weather

A flood watch has been issued for Monmouth County and most of New Jersey for tonight, Aug. 14.

According to the warning issued by the National Weather Service, showers and some thunderstorms are expected to continue through tonight with periods of severe rain.

The runoff from earlier rain in combination with additional rain is expected to result in flooding along streams and creeks and areas of poor drainage.
